Since June 2016, SHCC has once again begun performing Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs) throughout Texas and Arkansas. If your property has not yet been visited for an MOR, make sure your email address is current. SHCC makes every effort to provide at least a 30-day notice in advance of an MOR.
New VAWA Requirements
Beginning on December 16, 2016, owners were required to provide the Notification of Occupancy Rights (form HUD-5380) and Certification of Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, or Stalking and Alternate Documentation (form HUD-5382) forms to existing residents, new move-ins, rejected applicants, to residents when a termination of assistance or tenancy notice is issued, and when an eviction notice is issued (including the Third Recertification Reminder notice).
In addition, Owners are required to develop emergency transfer plans for effect by June 14, 2017. HUD’s Final Rule provides form HUD-5381 and form HUD-5383 which can be modified and adapted.
